The world’s rarest parrot, Aotearoa’s very own Kakapo. With less than 90 on the planet today, the Kakapo is staring extinction in the face. The Kakapo are said to smell like a musty combination of honey and flowers and their feathers are said to be incredibly downy soft. They are like something from a fairytale. The world will be a sadder place if we lose our Kakapo.
